According to the information from Goychay district Statistics Office in january-june of 2009 the gross output production made up 63999,8 thousand manats, increasing 9,9 %, or 5787,4 thousand manats comparing with the same period of last year.

9 %, or 5749,7 thousand manats of gross output and services was produced in industry, 41,8 % or 26776 thousand manats in agriculture, 9,3 % or 5980,9 thousand manats in construction, 2,5 % or 1601,6 thousand manats in transport, 0,6 % or 362,6 thousand manats in communication, 36,8 % or 23529 thousand manats in spheres of trade and services. In this period 5749,7 thousand manats worth of or 19,1 % more than the level of relevant time of previous year manufactured goods have been produced and the services have been shown in the district. 73,8 % or 4241,3 thousand manats worth of these goods have been produced in manufacturing sector, 24,8 % or 1429 thousand manats worth in the sectors of processing and distribution of electrical energy, gas and water.Some progress within six months of 2007 was also occurred in the sphere of agriculture. So, in this period in the district have been conducted the planting of agricultural plants in 22705 ha . It is 1255,5 ha or 5,9 % more comparing with 2008.The investments directed to main capital in the above mentioned time in the region for the construction works made up 6843,3 thousand manats.The number of employing peoples for 05 iyul 2009 is 51,9thousand persons(47,7 % of district population). 290 new workplaces was opened in district in this period. 42 of this work places were in newly founded enterprices and organizations, and 248-physical entities.
